Wearable display glasses are smart glasses. The most recognized wearable eyewear is arguably the Google Glass. Google Glass is a smart device that incorporates computer and advanced electronic technologies to enable these objects to exchange data with a manufacturer, operator and/or other connected devices.
Essentially, it is a wearable computer or a headset with a touch pad directly on the frame. It’s only a matter of time before smart glasses become a part of our everyday lives. With that in mind, then it’s no surprise that a company like AGCO, a global leader in design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural equipment, would bring Google Glass to their manufacturing floor. Although the glass Explorer Edition is no longer available, Google is committed to working on a future product.
Watch how AGCO’s Jackson, Minnesota manufacturing team incorporated Google Glass to audit finished products before it is shipped to dealers for consumer purchase.
AGCO is a corporation participating in our Fast-Pitch One-on-One Match Making sessions on March 24.
