Donna Ennis, Project Director of the MBDA Business Center-Atlanta, received a 2015 Faces of Inclusive Excellence award from Georgia Institute of Technology’s Institute Diversity, whose mission is to support and advance the attainment of a diverse, inclusive, and equitable community by promoting inclusive excellence strategies in Georgia Tech’s teaching, research, recruitment, hiring and promotion, and service endeavors.
The Institute Diversity’s Faces of Inclusive Excellence, recognizes a diverse group of faculty, staff, and students who are committed to making Georgia Tech among the most highly respected technology-focused learning institutions in the world.
Ennis was featured as an honoree during a special visual presentation during the 2015 Diversity Symposium Awards Luncheon, which provides a forum for robust, informed discussions among faculty, staff, and students on issues relating to building and sustaining an inclusive campus community.
“My commitment to help minority business enterprises improve their competitiveness and to positively impact the economy has never wavered. Georgia Techs’ commitment to this mission through its support for the MBDA Business Center-Atlanta at the Enterprise Innovation Institute has helped us achieve tremendous success,” said Ennis. “I am honored to receive an award that promotes excellence in inclusiveness. Diversity promotes thriving communities.”
Faces of Inclusive Excellence nominees were reviewed by a group of faculty, staff, and students and were considered according to their research, teaching, and/or service for the academic year (2014-15).
