About the MBDA Business Center-Atlanta
In 1969 the U.S. Department of Commerce created the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) to promote job growth and the competitiveness of minority-owned businesses in the U.S. MBDA later launched a nationwide network of over 40 Minority Business Centers strategically located in the largest minority populated cities to ensure accessibility of their services. In 2004 the MBDA Business Center-Atlanta opened its doors at Georgia Tech’s Enterprise Innovation Institute, the nation’s largest and most comprehensive university-based program of business and industry assistance, technology commercialization and economic development, to join the MBDA network.
With many years of business and financial experience, as well as a state and national network of resources at their disposal, team members are committed to the MBDA Business Center-Atlanta mission, “to provide business and technical assistance that helps minority business enterprises (MBEs) experience significant growth and sustainability and have a long-term economic impact through the creation of jobs and revenue.”
