Theresa Carrington is an innovator, humanitarian and an unlikely change agent. Prior to founding The Blessing Basket Project®, Carrington was a journalist who achieved numerous honors, including nine Mid-America Emmy awards, over the course of her 20+ year career.
Today, with partnerships with companies like Whole Foods Market®, the Project works with almost 3,000 Artisans across seven countries including Ghana, Uganda, Bangladesh, Madagascar, Guinea, Indonesia, and most recently, Kenya. By selling their products to more than 170 retail locations nationwide, The Blessing Basket Project® has already paid the U.S. currency equivalent of more than $2.5 million to the Artisans it serves.
Registration is now open for the 2nd Annual National MBE Manufacturers Summit 2017, which will be hosted at the Georgia Tech Global Learning Center in Atlanta, GA on August 15-16, 2017. The Summit is the first of its kind targeting minority business enterprise (MBE) manufacturers, supply chain decision makers, and stakeholders.
Carrington and other speakers will share their experience and expertise on a range of topics and there will be One-on-One Match-Making with corporations, a Poster Walk highlighting MBE manufacturers, Innovation Pods where attendees can experience the latest technologies and more.
